tried cleaning but to dirty
has anyone re webbed there seat belt(s)
i see rewetting services but i was wondering if i could do it myself so the turnaround would be faster

"good sewing machine" is the key. You will need something in the Singer 4423 4423 | HEAVY DUTY | Singer Sewing or better. For thread you will need heavy duty upholstery thread Coats Specialty Extra Strong Upholstery Thread - Make it Coats Do not try to do this with a standard home sewing machine.
Stitch pattern, width and density will also come into play. As well as fold over and serging. The neat "X" pattern with double stich border isn't for looks-it is for shear strength. Think about the forces on a seat belt during a collision...
Not to dissuade you from trying this-but there is a bit more than just sewing the webbing and winding the spool.
If you want to try this I would recommend finding a skydiving club in your area. They usually have 1 or 2 FAA certified riggers or know where they are. They have the knowledge, skill, and ability to properly sew webbing. Moreover, they are usually very accommodating and will stitch your webbing for a 20 and a six-pack.
An upholsterer will have the gear to do it, but may shy away because of liability-we are talking about life support equipment.

You piqued my interest about this so did some digging...my belts are getting a little grubby too.
Anyway, time after time these guys came up. safetyrestore.com
Just got off the phone with them-they will replace the webbing, re-tension or replace the main spring and check the inertia mechanism. 100 bucks for each with a 24hr turn around after repair.

yes i talked to them also, just that we are on different sides of the country and with shipping both ways even with 24 hr turnaround it could take 2 weeks and plus shipping charges could almost buy a new one
