E150 vs. the competition

Guys, I'm about to buy an '03 E150 8 or 7 passenger van, mostly because I had such a good experience with my Aerostar. I haven't really looked at the Dodge and Chevy vans. Question is, should I?

Don't even bother with the others. Econoline is the way to go. Get the 5.4 if you can.

E150 vs. the competition

Yeah, I like the Ford vans better. We rented an 03 E-150 Chateau with the 4.6 over the summer to go to a wedding in the mountains. It did good, but the mountains really tested that 4.6 and the automatic, it did fine, but the 5.4 would have handled it much better. The interior was great, and the dual dvd/vcr screens were awesome! Now as far as the competition goes, the Dodges are just plain cheap and the Chevys are just plain ugly.

E150 vs. the competition

i drive the chevies 12-15 pass busses at work and as well as the fords

the fords have a better gauge design and the controls are better and they look better over all. the seats are a pain to do tho, ie install and remove

the chevies have more power yes, but dont look too great. the seats are pinned in so there easier to remove and are lighter. still a 2 person job tho. i dont like the instrument panel on the chevies.

all in all ill take the ford

E-150 Clubwagon.

Leather chateau is the way to go.

Much nicer than any other maker offers.

Definitely the 5.4 though. I wish they'd put the 3v version in the vans for '04. Haven't heard they will.

I still might buy one myself.

Black ext. w/ pebble int. Pretty sweet.

Of course I'll have to use a cover religiously.
