5 Month Wait!

Well, I ordered a 2018 F250 on 9/15; hoping to get in line early and get one of the first F250's off of the line. COTUS just posted my expected delivery date as 2/14/18 . . . . 5 MONTHs after ordering. I am sorely disappointed.

Curious, did you order the rear airbag seatbelts?

No, I didn't. Lariat, Supercab, gasser with 4.30's. Nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe there is a limited supply of something I ordered; like Adaptive Steering or BLISS.

Sorry to hear that. I put both of those on mine. I ordered 10/30 and it should be at the dealer 12/24. Mine is a Crew Cab and diesel though.

When was the first update you got from COTUS? Any chance your dealer didn't order the truck back in September? I was disappointed to order on 11/14 and get a 2/14 delivery date. I know you are disappointed. Seems like either ford or you dealer could give you an explanation.

What priority number did your dealer assign you? Up to a point the dealers influence what priority trucks get built...If they other customers that they ranked higher, then when the plant looks at what to build they first look at what the dealer has specified...

What is your priority code? You say nothing out of the ordinary but over 60% are crew cab and almost 70% are diesel so combine those together and a gas supercab is just not built nearly as frequently. Add that to a possible low priority and dealer alocation and I could understand a longer wait. Now 5 months, that is a little rough.

curious on your priority code....

I think dealer allocation has more to do with the timing next to material availability. I ordered an ‘18 KR CCSB 6.2 with a 19 priority code (which is the worst code for a retail order) on 11/09, scheduled 11/30 for a 12/19 build date.

CCSB is the most produced version so even with a worse priority, it wouldn't hurt you that much.

I sat with the dealer while we entered the order on 9/15. And COTUS shows a 9/15 order date.

Dealer entered a priority code of 12.

It's a small dealership so maybe their allocation isn't great?

Maybe the new Expedition/Navigator is an issue?

Expi/Nav isn't an issue. I know 2 people at the factory, the SD line is in full swing. They are different lines when being built.

COTUS has my ordered on date of 8-25-17 and an estimated delivery date of 2-3-18. Fully loaded KR priority code was 12. Very small norcal dealer. It is what it is.

My order date was 10/27 with no vin or estimated delivery. Large dealer (holiday ford) with a priority code of 10. Haven't an idea in hell when I might get my truck

All things happen for a reason so just be a little more patient.
