A/C only blows defrost and floor no dash

2008 Expedition A/C blows cold but only through defrost and floor not dash. When move dial to dash only blows defrost.

A loss of vacuum to the HVAC controls will cause this. Start looking for cracked or broken vacuum hoses, around the battery area is always the best place to look first.

Vacuum is not used for HVAC actuators on an 08 Expedition, it's all electrical.

Need to know if the system is manual or automatic controls and, if automatic, whether or not it's the dual system.
