I am pretty sure I could find a truck I like for under $25 K, but I will save my LMAO's for new vehicle pricing.

$36k is MSRP though, nobody pays that. Dealer incentives, markdowns, year-end event, haggle a little and you are way below $36k. Usually full size trucks get a ton of markdowns.

I'm not saying $36k isn't ridiculous for a pickup truck though.

Mine is still in near perfect shape, but truck has very low mileage.

If guys thing the porno red is bad, try one of those purple/blue trucks with a blue interior. Yikes is that an ugly thing to see.

Hmmm. Did you miss the part about the pricing starting at $36K? Around here, sticker prices for a nicely optioned truck run $50K to $60K and yes, there are buyers. At least buyers who are making the payment. I don't think anybody will pony up that sort of cash and dealing for best price is not going to get you very far. Vehicles are sold on financing nowadays, just another way of parting you with your hard earned cash.

For what it's worth, my source is ford.ca which prices in Canadian dollars

So it's actually $32500 USD. You could easily get into a brand new base model F250 with a warranty for under $30000 USD. I don't really know what point you are trying to make.

He's saying that the average price of a truck nowadays is far more than 30k, because the price varies so wildly with packages and options, easily cresting 50th.

Even 30k is ridiculous for a bare bones truck.

The CL poster dropped the price to $20K.

Seems he's starting to smell the coffee.

My bet is his wife is making him thin the herd.

You are probably right. She told him that the truck must go. He doesn't really want to get rid of it. So he tells her, "ok" then proceeds to set the price at a laughable figure.
