I have a ruby red king ranch on order and can’t wait. I am trading in a 2010 pearl blue 250 that is gorgeous with the chrome accents but The blue jeans they have now just isn’t as rich a color as the pearl blue so I went with the red. My wife’s ‘14 Explorer is ruby red and it’s a beautiful color and doesn’t show dirt as bad as my dark blue truck does.
I haven’t had mine long enough to address the durability, but I’m sure glad I got it. People I don’t even know compliment me on how beautiful my truck is.
Ruby Red is the nicest color I've seen on a pickup truck. I wanted to do the whole murdered out theme so I went with black. If I had a dream life, I'd buy a 250 in Ruby Red.
I bought white and magnetic two tone, but I have to say Ruby Red is a stunner. If this truck wasn't so huge and a pain to clean I would've gotten Ruby instead. The white and magnetic is a breeze to keep clean, that's why I got that instead.
While the name is the same, I think Ruby Red has become more "blue/purple" that when it was originally introduced.
I've got a 2018 on (forever) order. Originally ordered RR but changed it to Magnetic after seeing RR in various light conditions. It almost looks plum to me.
