What issues would it involve? The "T" truck transmission is fine, it has been replaced in the past ( i thought with a 91) in the past, just trying to figure out what parts i can use from the 92. I plan on keeping as much of it as i can use, maybe selling off some parts that i can't.

Trans code T is the all mechanical AOD, trans code E is for the computer controlled E4OD. To make that work in the 5.0 truck you need to transfer the complete powertrain wiring harness and go find a 5.0/E4OD PCM to control it. And the E4OD is much longer than the AOD so the driveshafts are different lengths too.
The E4OD is worth good money resale if it is functionally good.
The 5.8 would also bolt up to the AOD and work without changing any wiring, it would require a different flexplate and a shift kit though.
