Depends on the emblem. On my 86 F250, they are stuck on with double-sided tape. I just used a putty knife to break them loose. If yours are the same, just make sure you don't damage the alignment pins molded into the emblem.
if it is the kind that Aekisu describes, you can usually take a long piece of dental floss, and "saw" it off, placing the DF on the edge, and working your way across. Yes a putty knife may be effective, but to great of a risk in scratching the paint.

Excellent idea. Never thought about using dental floss.
Just want to let you know that WD-40 works great removing the double side tape and any gumming stuff.
I found out the hard way. I had a truck with a camper on it. You know the padded between the camper and bed. Will I removed the camper and was trying to remove the tape with a razor blade and was taking hours to do just inches. Well my Dad comes out and spray WD-40 on it, and I did the rest with 3 minutes.
