Just kinda curious where abouts this hose goes coming off of hte distributor? Its kinda floppin' there and my cuz hooked it to a thing on the back of the engine, but just to make sure...where abouts would this thing go? I believe i'm correct in its the vaccum advance? Thanks for any help!

it should conect to the vacum advance port on the carb. This port should have no vacuum on it at idle, and when you increase the engine speed you fell the vacuum on the port come in. DW

Thanks for the reply, I kinda figured it was wrong. Could ya help me out on teh where abouts of that port on teh carb...front/side..etc...? There is a quite shiny port taht I think may be it. Its the stock carb by the way. One more thing, could this be part of my stuttering and sputtering when gassing it from idle adn while drive down the road. THanks again!

well its not help in you problem, use a vacuum gage if you have one if not put your finger on the vacuum port while idling, you should not feel any vacuum at idle, when you rev the engine you should have vacuum, thats the port the dist. connects too. i should be close to the base of the carb. hope this helps DW
