i was wondering if all super dutys have the same bolt pattern for rims?is it 99 that they changed the bolt pattern from the standard one on ford truck?thanks
I have a lifted 2000 X and i have been dealing with alot of headaches. I bought a set of 35" tires on 22" rims 8X170 of course because thats what i am supposed to have. I could noe get them to fit i told the place that i bought them at that they must have sold me the wrong rims. After they told me they didnt i checked my spare tire bolt pattern to the new rims and what do you know they were the same. I then tried to put my FORD factory spare on and that did not fit either. I heard that ford had a weird 8X 6 3/4 bolt patern floating around could this be what i have. Any help would be great. Thanks Joel
The 99 F250 Light Duty had 7 bolt hubs/wheels. 1999+ Super Dutys (and derivatives like the E350 & Ex) should be 8 x 170mm. Pre 1999 should be 8 x 6.5" (like the Chebbies & Dodges). I've never heard of an 8 x 6-3/4" pattern.
ok so i found the actual spare from the X ford part # F81A-1015-AA. I called ford and gave them the part number and i was told this rim is for 2000 excursion only but still was a 8X170 bolt pattern. This rim fits.
an extra set of ford 8 lug wheels that are lying around are Part # F3TA 1015 MA (link) Set of FOUR Ford Wheels and Hub
Now when i got these i was told they were off a superduty ford 8X170. but they dont fit.
the Ultra 22" on 35" trxus are off a 1999 superduty and they do not fit my X.
i am so cunfused.
Now to make matters even more complicated i have a set of Weld Racing wheels 16.5 and they fit.
I need help, thanks Joel
Bolt pattern for your excursion and superduty should all be the same...Super duty's had different back spacing on different years but the bolt pattern is the same....Unless someone messed with your X..
wow i finally figured it out from Accuride's website (fords steel wheel manufacturer.) the steel wheels i obtained and was told were 8X170 are actually pre superduty 8X6.5. The wheels i purchased and were told were 8X170 are actually 8X6.5. The steel spare PN is 8X170 from Accuride's website. what a waste of a day trying to figure this out. I guess i made it harder that it had to be.
thanks guys for all the help.
anyone want to buy a set of 35"on 22" ultra wheels 8X6.5, lol
thanks again joel
