351 question
The 351 was available in '87-'95 F-150/F-250/F-250HD/F-350s,fullsize Broncos,and E-150/E-250/E-350 vans&Club Wagon models.The 1987 351 was referred to as the "351 H.O." and featured a Holley 4-bbl. carb& factory dual exhaust.For 1988,Ford equipped the 351 with EFI.The EFI351 was produced between '88-'97 model years. Horsepower was between 200-210 over those years,and torque ranged from 300-328 lbs.-ft. . The late-model EFI351 is a easy engine to modify for more power.It all depends how deep your wallet is,and how far you want to go.

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 29-Oct-01 AT 09:52 PM (EST)[/font][p]I have found in my recently purchased '93 loaded F150 (XLT, tow package, maybe posi, power everything)that after 3-500 mile trips within a week that the 351 is a formidable engine. Feels like it wants to just run and run. Seems to like running at 70-75 mph. Starts from a standstill with some pretty hefty authority if you decide to lean into it. Then again, one could just tear everything out, blueprint it, build it, and run from gas station to gas station, also!!! ;^)

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, YOU PROBABLY WON'T LIKE THIS BUT THE 351 I'M LOOKING FOR IS GOING INTO AN 88 MUSTANG GT. HEADS, CAM, EFI INTAKE AND SUPERCHARGER LATER IT'LL MOVE PRETTY GOOD I IMAGINE. DON'T HANG ME UP YET, I'M LOOKING INTO BUYING A 2001 LIGHTNING, SO I'M NOT A TOTAL TRATOR.
