Air Conditioning Maintenance
Hello All, I am new to the board and not much of a repair person but I need a little help. My 1996 Ford Bronco (5.8) Air Conditioner is blowing out hot air. I suspect the need for Freon (of course) but I don't know how to go about correcting this issue. Does anyone know of a A/C repair shop in San Francisco or close by in the Bay Area? I'm sure I will have to have some diagnostics run in addition to adding more Freon. It appears that the A/C keeps recycling when activated (at least that what it looks and sounds like.) ?????????

you should see if its the a/c clutch before you take it in the shop, because if you know beforehand, you dont be charged for refrigerant (freon) AND the clutch, but the clutch only. maybe you'll even be lucky and see some damage to the wire and be able to fix it yourself (happens quite often, although mechanics wont tell you for obvious reasons). you should see it spin when activated.
