i need to know everything about the swap my donor truck is a 86f250 4x2 auto and its going in a 89 4x4 stick i want to keep stick and i want carb set up

 

you'll have to change or modify your y pipe cuz the 351 is wider, you'll have to use the starter and flywheel off the 302 if you keeping the manual trans, other than that everything else will drop in place, if your going to a carb i'd just eliminated the computer altogether and use manual gages, and change it to a duraspark II ingnition or aftermarket. Just my 1 1/2 cents! DW

 

Do not use 89 302 flywheel on a 351. You need 351w or 81-earlier 302 flywheel. 351w, 81-earlier 302 have 28oz imbalance. 82-later 302 have 50oz imbalance.
