I really want the SecuriCode but it's not really an option for an XL. I don't want the stick-on battery code pad that you can't really replace the batteries on.
I've noticed replacement B-Pillar trim w/ the keypad (for example)
I will have keyless entry. But the real reason I want this is because it will prevent me from needing to hide a key, or put one in my wetsuit when I go surfing.

Does anybody know if this would or would not work on my 2018 F250 XL given that I have the power equipment group?
I've read that a simple registry change in Forscan can enable the securicode.
However, that was for folks that found the code card in their owners manuals. I checked my truck manual and found no card. (XL 350)
There was a video on YT of a guy that found his truck's code on a module located behind the passenger foot panel. It was on a sticker. I haven't tried to look yet though.
I was able to enable the Keypad function via FORScan on the BdyCM As-Built with the value below. Using two different keys and cycling to the ON position for ~4 seconds with each key displayed my code on the IPC. One issue with the keypad pillar might be is all pillars that have the keypad would be gloss finish where as the XL has matte finish pillars. You'd need to change all four pillars.

I'm anxious to see how this turns out. I've been lurking a while, but I too have an XL and this is on the list of upgrades that I really wish I had. My truck is a compant truck but they don't really care about modifications as long as they're done at my cost and don't look too rigged.

Good info, thanks.
As for the pillars, just take the existing xl matte finish ones and dremel a slot in them for the key pad. The pad is only around $28 bucks.
Another concern is whether Connector C500 exists within the door.
.
Is there a part number on the harness? Chances are Ford just has one style of harness made for trucks with power door locks, and the pad communication wires are included in that harness.
Success! I was able to install the SecuriCode on my truck. The needed connector did exist on my truck. Attached are PDFs on the interior door panel and the outside trim procedures. I was able to order a matted black exterior door panel that has the cutout for the keypad. (The regular cab XLT trucks come standard with matted black panels).
Keypad FL3Z-14A626-AB $31.00
Exterior Matted Black Panel FL3Z-1520555-TA $28.23

One thing to watch for is when you route the cable from the keypad to the connector within the door, make sure it doesn't interfere with the window operation.
