Ok on to the next issue I need to get fixeed. The front left marker light and blinker don't work and the rear tail ight, blinker and stop light don't work. I replaced all the bulbs, cleaned the sockets and used bulb grease. Replaced the headlight switch and fuses. Any ideas what to look for next?
Grounds. There should be a lighting ground at all four corners. Hopefully it's not the turn signal switch.
I noticed that my truck fails to flash the driver side rear when I have the Hazards on, but if I move the turn signal stalk to signal left, then the driver side rear will flash too. Doesn't matter if the Ignition or Accessory circuits are powered or not.
Check the 12v side as follows. Using a 12v test light, check to see if the t/l lights up with the park and turn signal on at wires at the base or a little upstream of the socket.
If it does light up with the appropriate signal, then you have faulty socket.
If it does not light up, then you need to back trace from that point of the wiring to the offending component or break in the wire.
Check the ground side. Hook the 12v test light to 12v B+ and check the ground wire at the light socket, if the t/l lights the ground wire is good.

Same one piece molded plastic tail lamps and sockets. The tail lamp and backup lamp sockets twist into the plastic bodies:

These trucks have metal tail lamp bodies, the sockets are swagged into the bodies, the gaskets fit between the bodies and the plastic lenses that thread into the bodies.

Thanks for the help. Now I kknow where to start. I'm getting the truck from Les Schwab in the morning and might be able to get to it Wednesday. I hope I find it fast and easy, but now that I said that it's probably going to drive me crazy. lol
