Ok, I've always heard that for the best low end you need a set of long tube headers. For mid range Shorty's.
Now is this in the ballpark, or is it mainly just preference?
I'm not worried about a 2% difference, and if that is all there is then I will be going with Shorty's, but I wanted alittle input on the different types.
I haven't heard much of anything about Tri-Y's. Aside from how they sound. I've heard a set on a '69 Mach 1 with a 390 and Damn did it sound nice.
Ok, for alittle more info to figure in, I have a '72 351W. Slightly built. 9.5:1 pistons, Dual plane edelbrock intake, holley 4 barrel 600 cfm carb, comp cam 252/262, and after the break in period, an MSD ignition.
