That part I am not sure of. I believe the CC works in the PCM, so there isn't really a CC "motor" like on other vehicles. My bet is that you were on the right track with the splicing of wires since you did a swap.

ok, thanks for the clarification. I will go ahead and splice the wires and see if that does the job. I don't know if this has any effect on it, but when I did the swap I changed the entire wiring harness under the hood as it came with the motor and transmission. Would that possibly be my problem? I still have the original harness that I can swap again. Thank you for your help.
I am just not sure. I wish I could be of more help, but it seems if you swapped in the wiring harness, it SHOULD have taken care of the CC issue and made it just like stock. Did any part of that wiring harness under the hood lead to the connections on the trans?

You're fine, you've been a good help to me. Thats what I was thinkin. The wiring harness under the hood did come with the plugs that go to the trans, but no trans harness. Do you know where the best place to find a harness is?
You could try car-parts.com...they are a nationwide salvage search and prices are usually reasonable. Other than that, maybe contact Clay at Riff Raff Diesel and see what he might suggest. Heck, he may even have one. Hopefully someone else will chime in as well with helpful information.
When I did the swap on my truck I kept the auto wiring harness. To get the cruse control to work there was two wires coming out of the pcm that I had to put a jumper between, and I had to hook up the clutch pedal position switch, mine already had a plug for it under the dash.

Thanks for the input. Would you suggest I put the original wiring harness back in? I am just wondering if the pins out of the pcm arent connected to anything since I swapped the the harness under the hood? I have time this week, and may end up swapping it just to be on the safe side.
Hey guys, a little update: I got my cruise to work. It turns out it was my sensor on the master cylinder, for my brakes. I got the motorcraft repair kit and put it on today.
thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it.
Great!! I love it when a problem is fixed. I COMPLETELY forgot about the master cylinder sensor. When I ahd problems with my cruise, it was that sensor as well as the clutch safety switch.

Me too!! I did replace my clutch safety switch about a week ago, so I knew I was getting closer to figuring it out since I was running out of things to replace LOL
