Heater not working good

When i have my heater on it has been working great. But now its got under 30 degrees it don't heat very good. I checked my heater hoses they are both almost to hot to touch. Could my thermostat be sticking. Is there anyway to tell. I bought it last month it has always took a while to heat up.

What's the gauge in your cluster say ? Should be in the middle. If the heater hoses are hot you're getting hot water to 'em. Does hot air blow from the overhead vents when you select heat to the rear? You probably need to see if the front blend door is operating properly. Do you run it in air recirculation mode when you're trying to warm the cabin?

It runs in the middle of the gauge but takes about 10 minutes to get there. The rear air is the same temperature as the front.

They should be hot enough where you cannot keep holding them. Sounds like your heater cores need to be flushed.

Had my heater core flushed. Heat works great. The shop found the blower was full of pine needles. No idea how they would have got in there. Just bought navigator it was setting for years.

I just flushed my heater core. Took it from 55 degrees to 126.
Full of brown gunk and rust.
Easy to do. I need to do this at least once a year.
