Anybody using Cooper Discoverer S/T tires. I'm looking to upgrade to something a little more aggressive for the back end of my CC 4x2. Are these any good for traction? Noisy on the pavement? Thanks!
I have done sort of the same thing. I bought a couple extra wheels and mounted some Dunlop Mudders on them(look like the SST). When it's hunting season I swap the rears. Works great. I figure at 1 month a year these tires should last forever. Those Coopers should be OK. Look pretty aggressive, might have a little road noise. (my Dunlops roar good)
I had a set of the R4S's and the dam things lasted close to 50k! Good tire IMO. I got close to 47K out of my Firestone AT's. I'm running Uniroyal Laredo AWP's now. They are holding up great too. The 2 Lariet wheels and 2 Dunlop Mudders set me back $300. Not bad even if they do sit in the shed year long.
