NP205 Missing Snapring

I’m currently in the process of rebuilding my transfer case and one thing. I noticed before tear down excessive yoke play in and out. Apon further research I found that apparently i am missing the snap ring the hold the output shift and bearing together. I’m about done with the rebuild and all I need is this snap ring and can’t find it anywhere.

Does anybody know where I could get one or does anybody even have a parts case they could get me a snap ring off of and ship it? I’ve check everywhere online but can only find snaprings for the GM cases and those snap rings are to small.

This is the last piece of the puzzle and if anybody can help me out it’d be greatly appreciated. The shaft Diameter is 1.25”. Thanks.

I know I have outer snap rings for all the bearings from when I rebuilt mine over the summer. I don't think I have any that will fit your shaft, but I'm replying to remind myself to check for you later. If I have one its all yours.

This an F150 or F250, with part time or full time T/C?

Checked my stock and I do NOT have the snap ring you need. I have all the outer snap rings for the bearings though if you happen to lose/break one of those. They're in good condition.

Bill, that's the NP205, did they even make them in full-time? I thought the 203 was the full-time.

Parts catalog has two NP T/C pics, one for full time, one for part time.

Pics don't mention NP 203 or NP205, why I asked....because the pic will be necessary to get the basic part number of the snap ring.

There's probably a gazillion available NOS .. but there's also a gazillion different snap rings!

The pictures didn't mention it because its the title of the thread ND. And yeah, you're not kidding about a gazillion snap rings. When I rebuilt mine I was missing 2 shims on the idler shaft, talk about a mess to locate.

I'm sure NumberDummy will hook you up with a part number shortly, sorry I couldn't be more help.

I think this may be the right size I need. Just need to make sure it’s the right thickness. This one is thick but but not sure if it’s thick enough. I’m gonna measure the gap thickness when I get home this evening.

See 7070 in upper pic. See applications (parts list #17C) for 7070 in lower pic.

Looks like a Company called A&Reds should have it. They are closed till Monday but their catalog has the snapring with the part number 02124518. I used the part number in the diagram above to find it. Thanks guys. I’ll update the thread Monday if this ends up being what I need.
