Lockers

I'm going to replace the 3.55 gears with 4.10 in my 95 F-150 with a 5.8L. I want to put a locker in it but I'm not sure which to use. The eaton looks pretty good from the reading I've done. I don't really want airlockers or electric type, and I'm not sure about the ones with clutch packs. Any help or problems?

Lockers

The Eaton is a limited slip, not a locker.

Lockers

I think you may be confusing the term "locker" with any traction devise. Lockers will totally LOCK the diff in place and prevent little or no indipendant spin of the wheels. 9 out of 10 times a locker will be much harsher on the street such as going around corners. It sounds like what you are really looking for is a limited slip and not a locker. An auburn is also a limited slip, however there are various levels you can choose from to get the right amount of "slip".
