If it helps, the color looks like Navy Green or Forrest Green
Guys, can you help me identify the paint color in the picture? I purchased a 1980 F100 that was all primer except the tailgate. I'd like to paint the whole truck this color but cannot find it online. The green colors from 1980 do not appear to match my tailgate.

Looks to be be Dark Pine Met, Ford paint code 7M, Dupont code C8068.
Check the certification label it should have the paint code listed.

Thing is that cert label may not be that color or even green.
He could tell by the door jambs, behind the seat on rear cab wall unless they were primed too.
Lift the rug or mat as I am sure no one primes under it.
That color/tail gate could also be from a later year truck also.

It looks to be the same color inside the box though...
Door jamb data tag will tell the true tale though.
My truck had the paint code written on the firewall behind the heater box.
Ya that was my thought as well the same as the interior of the box. It does look like Dark Pine. Plus it was the only dark green the factory offered on the trucks in 1980.
The Paint Code is listed on the Certification label that is affixed to the drivers side door jamb just underneath the door latch.
Guys thanks as always for quick replies. I probably should have said the original color was maroon so the tag would be maroon. The old owner primered it, but as one guy mentioned, the box is the same green color. I’m guessing he got a junkyard box/tailgate in the green. Can I get small touch up from PPG or other to verify the color is correct?

thanks again, Jeff
With Ford paint code listed and the Du pont number any auto paint supplied should be able to whip a touch up alternatively you can get is touch up form here.
Guys, thanks for the tips and feedback. I ordered Ford paint code 7M from Automotive Touchup along with clear coat. If this matches I'll order enough for the sprayer.
