One step forward and a dozen steps back.

Had it all painted and waiting for the first coat to flash I noticed some paint cracking/shriveling so I stopped. Found out the primer reacted to the paint in a bad way so I am now striping it all back down so I can start over. Hadnt put much time into it the past couple weeks because I was helping the wife prep for a trip to disney with the kids. This week Im home alone so Im trying to get as much done to the car as possible.

Oh man, that sucks.

You being the meticulous guy I figure you are, hard to see that one coming down the pike.

You just miss something on the can or is it two different brand compatibility?

It was a product mismatch and it came from my inexperience. I used ready spray lacquer primer from duplicolor. Apparently lacquer primer is a thing of the past and shouldnt be used anymore because it doesnt do well with todays paint. Its alright though, I should be able to paint it again this week.

How did that truck of yours fair out on the ride back home?

Most part well. Bit of a miss & stumble at various RPMs that turned out to be vac booster.

Don't like the way rail pressure drops to zero so quick, where as it used to stay constant for days.

Regulator or injectors I would guess.

Like to do some custom crimped wires. My FRPP wires are 11 years old & I've had to repair a couple of boots.

Then there's that box of JY mass air parts sitting there staring at me.

Then back to the dyno...

Custom wires are the best way to go, you can make them just the perfect length so you get the best look possible. If you pull the vacuum line off the regulator does it smell like gas? I know thats a sign of a bad diaphragm inside the regulator.

No, but the actual seat could be leaking pressure. Plus I'd like adjust-ability & a pressure port.

Then there's those ancient cross flowing pumps...

Looks like a beautiful weekend.

Thank those who serve in our military so that we who don't remain safe & free.

It's only one day, but should be so much more.

Well I just don't know what to think of this past weekend.

Enjoyed watching GA get asses handed to them.

Dogs/tide sucked big wazzoo, but should have gotten done.

Chances/opportunities were there.

Have a good week.

Not a good week.

Had to put down one of our felines.

21 year old, 3-leg cancer survivor. Sweet as all get out, tough as nails.

Went down hill fast with kidney failure.

Been with Terri longer than me & I've loved her like she was mine.

And now we have hogs v dogs this AM to insure domestic harmony.

Sheesh.

Sorry she didn't make it David, I know how much you loved her. Good luck with the game and tell Terri for me," GO DAWGS".
