1937 Grill shell

Is the 1937 grill shell the same (or almost the same) as the 35-36? From pictures it looks the same, only the insert is mounted more on the face rather than recessed like the 35-36.

Not the same. I never tried swapping but the 37 just seems a lot bigger

I have a 36 grille shell on my 37 pickup. Everything is bolted up and looks good. I'm thinking the 37 was a little thicker in the fore aft direction

I was wondering about that. I like the looks of the 35-36, and was wondering if you could just change the insert or the whole shell. I like the 37 also.
