well I’m new to this site iv been having problems with my 99 ranger 3.0 it only has 130xxx miles iv replaced that are only a month old spark plugs, wires, 6 pack (coil), 2 new injectors on #1 and #6, hollowed our the cats (I thought they where clogged up) cleaned the sensor on top of throttle body and cleaned throttle body it’s self, cleaned maf sensor, took out all other i injectors and cleaned the bottoms off haven’t ran any injector cleaner threw them yet. It has 0 check engine lights on bad exhaust smell coming from exhaust only when running and it has a misfire but no engine light. And when I drive it I can put the gas to the floor it won’t get up and go anymore iv since had to resort to dailying the vette and would like the ranger up and going before winter. So has anyone had the burnt valve problem or what should I do next? I’m going to end up replacing the other 4 injectors but I’m stumped if that doesn’t fix the problem
did you check and make sure no water in the fuel tank?? i dont know what part of the country you are in but here in florida after irma came thru you just described what a lot of vehicles are going thru,, and it is because of contaminated gas,,, water got in the stations tanks,,,, imagine 24+inches of rain in 12 hours,,, yes the water can get in the tanks,,,,,many garages are having to take tanks off once they figure out the water is in there,, if you filled up while a tanker was unloading it was almost gaurenteed that you would get a crap load of water,,,,
