Who would've thunk it?

Yesterday (Saturday 10/21/2017) both my horn and cruise/speed control went out. Got home and proceeded to start checking fuses, funny I could find no fuse for the Cruise/speed control nor horn in the owners manual inside fuse box . Took off driver side air bag to check connections and was good, even attempted to jump the horn contacts and got nada. Thru the Factory service DVD I identified the 'Battery Junction Box' location for the horn relay and horn fuse. Now here's the interesting thing, the horn and Speed control are supplied thru the same fuse . 15a fuse was burned and replaced, got my horn a speed control back

Proof reader must have been sick the day they sent the manual to print!

Good info! I'll do the same and mark it in my owners manual.

Most owner's manuals have the interior fuse box layout and under-hood fuse box layout on different pages and I've seen people miss one or the other.

Had I an owner's manual I wouldn't have had to search the interwebs. In the pdf I found there is no listing for the speed control fuse.

There is a listing for the speed control fuse in the owner's manual, but it's not on the same circuit as the horn. It's listed as fuse 10 in the passenger compartment fuse panel (7.5A, page 163). The horn is on fuse 22 in the Power Distribution Box under the hood. That agrees with the factory service manual wiring diagrams which confirm the speed control is NOT on the same fuse as the horn. However, the horn is an input to the speed control since the speed control will disengage if the horn is pressed. Apparently the horn needs power though rather then the speed control just looking for the signal to be grounded when the horn button is pressed.

So ultimately the horn and speed control are not on the same fuse, but the speed control will not work if the horn fuse is blown. The fuses for both are identified in the owner's manual. This connection (pun intended) between the horn and speed control was an interesting find.
