Yes, Twinbulls, for that very reason, I am a life member, NRA, Life member NAHC, Life member American Gunsmithing Association, a Tennessee licensed firearms instructor, involved in firearm education wherever I go, and a staunch supporter of the rights of free Americans. I will help organize any pro gun meeting, anywhere in the US, and speak at length, using the same arguments I have used on this board, many times.
When elections come around, for YOUR sake, guys, VOTE. I know that should be self evident, but unfortunately it is not. If every gun toting person in America voted for the Pro Gun candidate, then we would be home free. Unfortunately, people do not see guns as THE issue, only an issue, so look at other things to sway their votes - Realize this, if the gun issue goes where it mustn't, there will be no other issues to worry about. Freedom is something we must all fight to keep, and the best modern fight is in the polling booth, where your decision can make America go in the direction YOU want it to..
Keep up the positive thoughts, and implement them when the time to vote comes.

figures are looking good, Mike - the pro guns are getting more success this month than the anti gunners.. More and more states are realizing that having armed residents is better for them, and coming out with amazing responses. Tennessee has this year accepted that the firearm permits from ANY state work here. Colorado is in the process of doing the same, Oklahoma has done the same, so now there are many more stated open to interstate travel for the carrying person.. Cities are banning frivolous suits against weapons manufacturers, and criminals are loosing law suits supported by anti gunners, to claim vast sums from a legal shooter, for shooting a criminal. The press does not report this positive stuff, they don't like it, but the dark clouds are beginning to show a little thinner in places. The Democrats swear to reverse this, when they get back in power - we should all make sure that never happens.
sometimes we follow a little too blindly and are naieve. if losing our rights happens who is to say what kind of government we have and we can be too easily overthrown, i have a hard enough time viewing this as a republic
just wondering thats all, its not all peas and carrots out there. guess i better just shut up. i am as patriotic as the next guy and would happily serve again, just see too much going the wrong way sometimes for there to be any peace in my lifetime. it seems that our founding truths that make this the great country that it is get forgotten til its time to use them again. i dont want to have to be afraid of my arab neighbor. hypothetically speaking
not saying the society we conform too so freely is all bad ,and it keeps us from killing eachother , but i just dont like to be told what to do so much...lol
i am all 4 guns
people kill people
when guns are outlawed only the outlawd will have guns
if they take em away then what?
what kind of government would want to take your gun?
not my government.
Jimmy Dean....your comments kinda scare me. And the second thing is that its comments like that, which give anti gun people all the fuel they could possibly need. Maybe, just as a thought, instead of threatening to inflict deadly force on a swat team, which consequently didn't pass a law, their just upholding it, who in real life have children, wifes, husbands, and homes to go home to, you might try a more acceptable approach to gun control, CONTACT YOUR REPRESENITIVES. let your voice be heard, but in a positive way. Research bills that are in the works and when you call your represenitives, cite those bills, It makes you, and the rest of us gun supporters look a whole lot more inteligent.
If these people want to talk gun control then they should start with the entertainment industries. I can't think how many times some actor gets up and starts telling everyone that guns are bad and all the while they are making their money exploiting guns at every turn and in a negative and glorifying way! How much do you think Hollywood would rake in if they weren't allowed to have guns in their pictures? The politicians are another topic of hypocrisy, how many of those that are in favor of gun control own guns themselves, and for what reason--- self-defense.
I believe that ANYONE who says even one right granted by the Bill of Rights isn't valid or how ever they wish to word are traitors to this country. Now I'm not saying we should hang them. Yes they have the right to believe and preach what they want but how can you take one right away and leave the rest and call it just? Go tell an anti-gun activist that free speech should be abolished and they will tell you its their right granted by the 1st amendment and you are wrong for trying to take it. But they don't see it the other way. These people don't seem to realize that ALL of the freedoms they cherish are there because our forefathers rose up and fired back. We didn't beat back the British with shovels.
I believe that if our forefathers believed these rights were worth paying for in blood that I and many others exercise and enjoy today are worth fighting for again. First in the government, then in the physical. Anyone who carries out the order to collect up all the guns is no better than those who took it away. If I was on a police force I would turn in my badge. I know an officer that would do it too and I bet a lot of them would also.
If they ever get to that point there will be Ruby Ridge's all over the U.S..
No power has ever lasted forever. What makes us think that the U.S. will? I don't ever want to see it go but its a fact that someday it will be gone. Be it 50 years or 500 I'd like to be armed for that day.
The gun "issue" is the big deal for me. I vote for who supports guns. The rest in secondary.
But we all need to VOTE and take a friend.

twinbulls has it right. I have taught my boys to hunt and handle firearms responsibly. I vote the best I can with those the political parties choose to let us vote for. It is to bad that those who are actually in power control who we get to vote for. When we get vocal about shooting anyone who tries to come and get our guns this is fodder for the antis. Remember the person that will come for your gun will probably be the cop, sheriff or hp that you know.
when i was bein raised no matter how bad i thought i had it i always knew right from wrong. when i was ten my old man put his 357 mag in my hand and told me where he kept it to take away my curiosity and to use it if someone was somewhere they shouldnt if u know what i m saying. i never once looked at it twice. are people just not informed? 68torino has it right to send his children to get informed about guns and right from wrong. then they can decide what to do with it but at least they wont abuse it. the right to bear arms may be a age old law as are many of our laws, but these fundamentals are still too big a part of our society, at least as long as there is evil to fight in this world, people dont have to like guns and its your right not to own one, as much as it is a right for me to give my 100lb soaking wet wife a 12guage and show her how to point it in any direction. i havent yet but it should be my right if i was to live somewhere that a threat was bigger than my dog. i would feel safe for my neighbor to give up his gun if society was to learn to live as one and stop getting together to plot the death of americans and free peaceluving society. ask a middle eastern man if he would give up his piece and i am sure he would gladly say as soon as u give up yours to his neighbor, many of us are tired of war and conflict but it is necessary we are still viewing the problem as a domestic issue but i fear it is still a world issue, the constitution and peace has been protected for too many years by arms of many forms. i cant help but to think the issue is so much bigger than people not wanting their neighbors to have guns. not that i think we have to fear britain anymore but there are still people around who remember germany? japan? now how bout taliban?
i wouldnt go as far to say i would shoot anyone to protect that right b/c that is unholy and no matter how much police think they are better they know deep down their stuff stinks just as bad as mine, i would probaly conform to society, and hide a few the same way i do with my taxes and parking tickets. ...lol
i am a honest man and welcome all opinions on this brought to the table with as much respect as i would give you, i am still green and know i am and can be wrong and hypocritical on many things.
I have over 5 acres. I have plenty of large, airtight plastic bags. i can buy dessicant easily enough. I have a shovel. i think we can all figure out the rest.
Remington pump 12-bore & my wife's really-old 9mm Makarov here. I want an M1911A1 .45 caliber.
Jimmy - since before you were born "they" were going to take our guns away. I got my first gun 58 years ago and "they" haven't taken it yet. Indeed, there are more guns today, and more are available at more places than ever before - seems "they" are not very successful. I knew it would be only a matter of time before someone used the "cold dead fingers" line, at least that's behind us.
