One more v-10 question.. Our Excursion has 51,00 miles, plus or minus// When you throttle down, it and get moving, it sounds like it whistles or SOMETHING, can really here it good when the windows are down and your against another car or something that it can echo off of.. it ONLY does it under load, like when you have to give it gas for a hill or to speed up, COuld this be the Elbow on the throttle body that people say sometimes fails and makes the whistle? Just Curious
Thanks.. I know im asking Alot of questions

Asking questions is how we learn from each other, dont worry about it. My f250 made a slight whistling sound until I put on the aftermarket exhaust, now I just cant hear it. I think it was the pipe between the cat and muffler, there is this wierd oversized crimped pipe (on the ends) that looks like it was slid over the 3" inch pipes (and looks factory stock but I could be wrong). If I held by hand over the crimped part at idle I could feel exhaust comming from around the crimped area, I'm assuming as the rpms turned up and the gasses moved faster it made the whistling sound. I would be very interested in knowing if anyone else has this strage crimped pipe over another pipe between the cat and muffler... and why would that be put together like that (my exhaust was perfect and factory original looking for 30kmi ).
As you said when the RPMs build and more gasses are flowing and that means higher PSI in the pipe. Under a load the cylinder PSI is even higher so the exhaust pipe PSI is also higher. If you have an area that is marginaly sealed then at that time it could leak.
I would check the area Anfo is talking about it is at least a good place to start.
Anfo, Funny you mentioned the pipe, as tonight (before I read your post) I crawled under the excursion and I THINK I saw what you were talking about, Or Maybe I saw the catalytic converter.. With a Crimped heat shield around it, and it DEfinitley was making noise..But still wondering about the rubber hose, others were talking about, but couldnt find which one they were talking about on my Excursion.. I sat outside tonight and had my wife run it up to about 2500 rpms and I never heard the whistle, I go down the road right after and upon a load or heavy throttle I hear it.. Almost under pre-detonation conditions. BUT at 2500 rpms in park the engine makes this droning sound, a resonating sound, like my thinderbird once did and it required an exhaust dampner... it DOESNT do it under driving conditions.. has anyone experienced THIS before?I dont know this motor just seems noisy all together after 2000 rpms, its silky smooth at idle and up to 2000 rpms, then its just noisy..Not sure of the characteristics of this motor as I am TOTALLY unfamiliar with it.. It performs vvery well and seems like there are no issues though. Thanks for the Help I appreciate it!
The rubber hose that fails goes from the TB to the PCV valve on the passenger side of the engine. What happens is that little 90 deg Ell that is situated just under the plastic cover (you have to remove the cover to see it) over the throttle linkage can become soft and collapse under load when its pulling vacuum. I think you can buy the little 90 deg Ell separately. And - yes - it will sometimes make a whistling noise when its almost fully collapsed. I don't know if that's the problem or not on the whistling, but I do know that the "resonating/Pulse" noise could be the heat shield on your exhaust piping or the dust cover as mentioned before.
Thanks Guys for giving some possibilities to a new V-10 owner that has no clue about the engine I have Just bought. I will look under the cover today and see if I see it, and see if that ma be the culprit!
Thanks Again!
