Question Cab mounting?

Is this the right orientation? Or does the bottom rubber need to be flipped?

how about out this one? Rubber under that top ledge?

New bushing here but anything missing along side gaps?

The rear can mount is the same as the later trucks and you have it correct. The front one I'm not sure.

Thanks... I'm not an engineer, but isn't that bolt in shear? Just seems odd, especially with play on either side. But, clearly it worked. ;-)

Mine is a '52 — isn't this drawing for later model? Those parts don't match my kit...

So it looks like I need to flip the top rubber so the circle part is facing downward ... they don't call out the washer on the top of the frame like they do for the bottom, but looks like it is there, at least for the mid mount?? (left page diagram)

I don't know if the pic is correct or not we need a exploded view from the 48-52 ford parts catalog but that is the way I installed my mounts

How about any tips for order of assembly? Arms on frame or cab first?

I've had the most luck mounting the arm on the frame first, then forcing it up into the cab. I put something under the cab to protect the frame until the arm is in place and ready for the bolt. While mine is a '53, the rear mount is almost identical.

Your are correct, the diagram shown is for the 53-56. Here is the diagram for the earlier trucks:

Also if you mount to the frame first it will hold the rubber bumper in place AND you can use a jack to push the other end up into the cab if needed!

Thanks, that is what I ended up doing on one side...

Torque specs (or thereabouts)? Afraid if I keep tightening rear arm mounts it will just keep squeezing the brackets together.

Still wondering how tight to fasten cab mount hardware. Esp. rear arms. Thanks and happy new year!

The fronts I don't know, the rears should absolutely squeeze the bracket against the bushing. So for the tears I would torque to grade 5 bolt 1/2 diameter.
