out of the blue I was backing into my drive way and it started running ruff. As I Start off driving it shudders until the second power band is hit then it stops until I need to add a little peddle to maintain speed. If I need more power to get up a hill it vibrates hard until the second power band is reached (around 2000rpm) and the turbo kicks in then it stops until the rpm's drop back below 2000. What can this be??

 

Read up on scanning apps, check for codes. Otherwise it is just guessing.

 

I would take a look at your EGR valve and see if its all coked up and not closing properly.

It can also be a injector but that is a constant shake most often.

 

New EGR Valve about 6mo ago...it idles ruff but when I step on it it seems to go away

 

As xcr says, need to scan for codes.
