I thought about skipping the option from the factory, then adding this aftermarket. That would give you the ability to place it wherever you want to. I was thinking the inside of the fuel door to keep it out of sight.
Nice looking truck...check on the OEM keypad, but I do not think you can install it if you have remote start. My dealer tried, but could not get it to program. The OEM keypad says not compatible on superduty with factory installed remote start.
Mr Cobb, not to get off topic, but it looks like you are missing a rear bumper in addition to the keypad. What are your plans for that?
That’s a good eye. I had it off to powder coat black. Truck had chrome bumpers so I found a platinum black front and painted the rear. That’s another question I have to figure out how to hook up Led fog lights. I wouldn’t mind if they just came on with the key!!
I was able to add fog lamps using factory switch and forscan works perfect! I'd also be interested in adding keyless, I don't really like the look of the add on keypad, I'd rather go the original route if feasible.

so you changed the switch in the cab? And added a factory harness? I have a plug just under the radiator on frame. Looked under another truck and those wires go to cruise control sensors and fog lights

Yes that's correct, switch, harness plugs right in where you mentioned, then using Forscan, I change to the BCM, and 1 the the IC and your good to go, I did this quite some time ago with help from another forum member as far as the coding goes. Parts are very cheap and works great.

Do you have any part numbers for this? I found your old post where you bought the other headlight switch but what harness you used would be helpful.
