Caster Alignment with BDS Level

I know its been mentioned here but I wanted to see what you guys are doing about the caster on these trucks after a level.

I have the BDS 2" level kit with the caster bushings but has anyone noticed floating in the steering wheel at all or any difference from factory steering?

I have been hesitant to install this kit as I do not want to loose the factory feel for steering. I have had this kit sitting in my garage for 3 months now waiting to hear good results and a fix if there is any floaty feel.

On my last 3 Super Duty's, I've just done spacers and called it good. The steering had a floaty feel. Did adjustable arms on this truck to correct caster, and I'm trying to figure out why I never did it on my last 3. Steering is tight like factory again. Whatever you do, get the caster right with whatever method you choose. Whether it be shims or adjustable arms, just get it back into spec.

I wouldn't hesitate installing it. The castor bushings are what take your steering geometry back to factory specs so you don't have that floaty steering you're talking about. If you look up what the castor adjustment does you will feel a little better. I have a Ready Lift 2 1/2 level kit on mine. I added the castor bushings somewhere in the 2 degree range and the steering feels factory.

Does the alignment shop get the caster back in order? What are the factory specs? And how do I install the bushings correctly?

Any good alignment guy/shop will know how to install them. I believe factory spec is up to +4 degrees of castor angle. The closer you get to that spec the tighter your steering will feel. I believe BDS caster cams are 1.5 degrees. That is the average degrees the castor will change with a 2 inch level.
