shortly after the fronts my left rear caliper froze. About 2 weeks ago it was the right rear. Thats all 4. I was getting damn good at noticing the issue immediately and saving the pads and rotors.
Sign me up for the '06 caliper 'failures' tho mine was an F350. Ended up with 4 new and a much lighter wallet. I had 2 sets of rears with one set on Ford, the next on me while the fronts were on me 100%
On the rears - make sure that the e-brake backing plate hasn't rusted through which will in turn 'smoke' the rotor and make it seem that the caliper has stuck and pads dragging. Yep, had that little PITA gem too. All parts available at Rock Auto at less $ including a bit thicker backing plate
BTDT for all calipers and both rear backing plates. Some calipers more than once. 60K miles on the truck (2006 F350), but plowing and sitting a lot are not good things for calipers.
