Is this in your '83 F100?

I can't find it. S318B does not show up as a code on the decoder ring I look at.

Usually the ratio is clearer as well. Any chance you can clean that tag up and get the angle looking at the other side of the attachment stud?

You need to clean the tag and get the rest of the info to the left...

Should be WDM CN?
The 3F13 is the date code? (1983, February 13)
The 9 is the ring gear...
The "0" in front of the 9 is the end of the ratio...like 3:50, or 4:10, etc...
The S318B is the differential model code?

See how the tag in this thread looks?

Yes, your ratio is usually half cut-off by the hole they punched for the mounting bolt. So clean it off closer to the bolt/stud, or just take the tag off completely and clean it up. They usually punch out the "3" but you can read the rest. As in "3.50".

I cannot find S318B either. S318D is a 9" w/a 3.50 ratio.

The tag is so crusty, I cannot make out anything other than this code.

AXLE code printed on the Certification Label, glued to the left door face below the latch. Post what it is.

3F13 = Assembled June (F) 13, 1983 (3). A = January, M = December, the letter I is omitted.
