Got a 2001 7.3 wont rev past 2000 rpms starts to miss and smoke i replaced the fuel pump did the injector orings what could it be and what should i look at when i get the scanner and hook it up please and thank you for any help!
I'd look at your fuel delivery system. Did you change the filter? Have you done the Hutch mod to the in tank pick up? If you could put a fuel pressure sensor on your fuel bowl and set it up so you can monitor it while driving that would help. There are two ports on the back of the fuel bowl that you can plumb to.

What is the mod? I did change both filter and pump im thinking maybe clean/ check the bowl and check for leaking lines
If you don't have the means of doing all of that that everyone has mentioned. A quick way to know if your screens are clogged is to... open your fuel door, unscrew the cap and let it hang. Get an air compressor, disconnect the fuel line off the back of the fuel pump, blow air into the line going to the tank. That will blow any debris out of the fuel pick up. From there put it all back together and fire it up. See if you have the same problem or not.
If you have the same problem at least you eliminated one possibility without doing a lot of work that may not need to be done anyways. If it does take care of the problem well... do the hutch and harpoon mod.

My injector control pressure is at like 1700 psi driving i habe not seen it go over 2200 is my pump weak or oil leaks
Maybe but unless you confirm fuel delivery/pressure first you may end up replacing parts needlessly. If the engine cannot get enough fuel to build RPM the rest of the system will not be able to perform, doesn't mean those parts are bad, the lack of fuel is just making them look bad. The first 4 responses to your post were about fuel pressure but for some reason you do not want to pursue that?
For some reason people would rather skip over the easiest and cheapest diagnosis first, maybe it's because they don't want to go to the trouble of hooking up a FP gauge, or don't know how/what to get, or they dread dropping the tank. Scanners are good but they are not magic, old fashioned trouble shooting is still in order.
My advice is order a FP gauge and a fuel bowl adapter from Riffraff. A FP gauge in the cab is something you will always be able to use and can save you hours of troubleshooting. Once you get past fuel delivery if there are still issues move on to the "Cody Test"

With all the post telling you to test the fuel pressure, and since you never said "boo" about the posts or really addressed that diagnostic measure until now, please explain how you were able to determine your fuel pressure "is okay" while at idle, half throttle, and WOT, along with the readings you achieved when you tested the pressure.
