Long story short, was ready to write up a deal on an F250 King Ranch, 6.7, pretty well loaded, and the dealer came back and said there was a do not sell order from Ford on the truck. He mentioned there were two issues, one of which was the rear inflatable seat belt, and the other he couldn't remember. So my questions are why would the seatbelt thing be a do not sell order when the recall says it's a pretty straightforward inspect and replace, and second, what other issues are going on that have triggered a do not sell order?
parts for the seatbelt recall aren't available yet. Took mine in for the transmission park rod recall finally, and to have them do the seatbelt, but parts aren't available yet. So just got the tranny rod done for now.
I had a dealer say the same thing last month. They have a pair of 250 Lariats on the lot they can't sell until the seat-belt issue is resolved. The sales manager did say they expect a fix to be in place by 10/16.
Fortunately, for me, it gave me some time to find Koons Ford in Baltimore. They are selling the exact same truck for $5K less. This will definitely make for some interesting negotiations...
Makes sense if part not available for seatbelt. I can't find any other recalls or issues so maybe dealer was just confused about there being two things holding it up
