Fuel system
So my rusty but trusty 01 250 7.3 has failed me for the first time, died on the highway on the way to work. Was running fine then starved itself for fuel.
In the panic we took it to a dealer.....to the tune of them wanting to charge 2600 bucks for a fuel pump, in tank fuel pickup and filter.
I said no sir! I'll come pick it up.
My question is what ids the best place/site to order the in tank pickup without having to pay a fortune. I plan on using Riffraff for the pump and I allready have a filter.

Do you need to have the parts on hand before you drop the tank?
From your description, my guess is the rubber foot has disintegrated and a chunk of it is clogging the pick up line. I had the same issue on my truck. My solution was to discard the rubber foot and clean out all the rubber pieces without replacing it.
I did have the in tank mods done so I had extended the tubing closer to the floor of the tank,
If you haven't done the in tank mods, get some brass or stainless compression couplings and some tubing and then drop the tank. If you have done them, drop the tank without buying anything is my suggestion.
