Does anyone have exploded schematics of the engine compartment of an '83 F100? Trying to sort out what I've got in there but I am not a mechanic, yet. I have the Haynes manual but I can't seem to use it to ID components.
I do not, but if you want to post a clear picture with the items you need identified marked A, B, C, etc., I and I'm sure other folks would be happy to help.
I've got all of those things figured out as well as starter, solenoid, alternator... I can be more specific with pictures but it is the more advanced things I can't ID. I found an engine schematic on Gary's site under Engine-300 Six but all of the parts are labelled with part numbers and he does not have the name list up yet. Is there a collection of what those part numbers would be identified as? Just trying to gather as much info about my P/U as possible before I dig deeper through the rust.

C is pointing to the piston looking object next to the inner fender. I thought it might be part of the brake system? is the white box to the lower right of the master cylinder the power control module?

I don't see what it is you are talking about, maybe the shock?
Try and take a better picture of it.
That box is the ignition box or ignition module.
