Southeastern Truckstock 2018
For those too far from PA to attend Abe's event, we're going to once again meet up at Fall Creek Falls State Park near Spencer TN next September 13 - 16. Unlike other years, there is no designated "host", since we have experience at this park. Joe Dunn found this Park in '15 and it's a winner!
I've got a cabin (#328) reserved, same one as in '15 and '16.

(for cabins)
https://tnstateparks.itinio.com/fall-creek-falls (for camping)
https://guestrez.megahotel.com/Hotel...on/Index/P8A33 (for the Inn)
AFAIK we'll be on our own for food. Hoping to do some exploring of the Park and the surrounding towns, too. Come one, come all!

Hey John, from looking at the map, you will be going right by my house. We pick up some folks from Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan, we can have ourselves a convoy.
And frankly, I am serious.
Wife is willing to go to Pa., I am sure she would do Tenn. Been looking at teardrop trailers and the like over the last few weeks. Prices are definitely in my range.
Also got my sons-in-law on board in helping me pull the engine in Gertie. Once the motor work is done, it is pretty much down hill for me, just getting a trailer/cabin, whatever.

FYI for those who haven't been to Fall Creek before; the cabins are 2 BR / 1 bath, with A/C and heat, full kitchen, all kitchen gear provided, a gas fireplace, large living area, and a real nice balcony. Very practical to double up to make the costs more reasonable. They unfortunately do not allow open fires at the cabins, so no S'mores around a fire, but otherwise a totally enjoyable experience.
The Inn is a short walk/drive away and has an excellent (but not real cheap) restaurant with either a la carte menu or smorgasbord, very good food.
Others have camped at FC, I'll let them describe the facilities. The campgrounds are a way off from the cabins but not real far. There is a general store inside the park for last minute stuff and some food items. Lots of hiking/biking trails, fishing, and wildlife to see.
I'd suggest making reservations early, as there is only a $10 cancellation penalty and the place does fill up.

The more the merrier! Especially driving their old trucks!

I checked with the park about discounts for groups and seniors and unfortunately they do not offer them as it is a popular park and fills up quickly. Ross’s advice of reserve early is a very good idea. Currently the TS group has reserved cabins 321, 327,328,329 & 330 plus one room at the inn. They will try to give us priority for the “landside” cabins. The lady also said some campsites are already filling up. So again as the cancellation rate is small it is worth reserving a place if you think you will join us. Have fun
