'94 F-150 tailgate compatability

Hey all...I bought a '94 F-150 that didn't have a tailgate. I am trying to locate one for it, but need to know what models and years are compatible with the '94 F-150 for tailgates...any help is appreciated.

87 to 96 F150, F250, and F350 plus 97 F250HD and 97 F350 will bolt rite on.
97 F250LD WILL NOT WORK.

Mid 70's to mid 80's doesn't work? I sorta kinda remember seeing those mounted up. Im not 100% sure, though. I do remember thinking oh,cool Ford kept them the same all through the years.

87-96 have bear claw latches (similar to door latches) to hold the gate closed. Older ones have the wedge-style. An older gate might slot in at the bottom, but it won't close.
