computer dead?

I replaced the relay with no luck. It actually ran the same without it. I drove it all week with no relay, but anyways still no timing advance. I'll try to pull the codes again, but I think I did have it all hooked up right last time so I'm doubting I will get anything. Any ideas on what to do next? I'm not sure if I want to spend the money trying a new computer or on swapping back to duraspark II.
Oh, and do you think the parts store will take my relay back? No big deal, only like $17 but I only had it in for a day.

You should also check the black ground wire for the computer,
The black ground wire attaches directly to the negative battery terminal. Once the local shop knocked that wire off during a battery change, the truck ran but very poorly.
