Exclamation Aftermarket AC systems

I'm interested to see if many people have any of the aftermarket AC systems operating in their trucks. What is your opinion of the system you installed? Does it cool enough, repair problems, etc...? Dave

Nostalgia, Classic and Vintage air all make units for our dents. You can search this forum to find threads discussing the pro's and con's of each. I didn't participate in those, I restored my factory air last year - still blowing cold.

Good luck!

I probably shouldn't respond, as I've never installed an aftermarket in the truck. I restored the factory A/C. But I have installed aftermarkets in other vehicles. Overall, I probably prefer the factory units, but aftermarkets can be rewarding especially in a standard cab truck due to the reduced area requiring cooling. My biggest maintenance headaches through the years on both have been leaks, compressors, and EPA refrigerant constraints. Surely, others will be able to provide better particulars than I.
