they’ve always lasted me about three years; not bad. I change them out though so I don’t have to deal with a dead battery in the middle if a storm. Read about the Northstars so I figured I’d give them a shot, mainly for the plowing.

Yep. Cold weather kills batteries. Or more accurately the summertime heat is what causes sulfation, but the first cold snap is what finishes them off.

OK, some reading

and many balk in and out product.
aka, most will produce batteries under other brand names under contract....
