Red face 3rd times the charm

It was in the turn signal. 3 times the charm, the original one went out and the previous two i installed wernt seated all the way in the column so when i put the steering wheel back in and torqued down the retaining nut it tweeked the switch enough so wires got pinched and the horn contacts shaved off some plastic on the turn signal cam further complicating matters.

Moral of the story: Make sure the turn signal switch is seated all the way down in its happy home.
