I know Happijac offers a jack rebuild service. Has anyone used it? I have one jack that is not sounding right and I want to get it taken care of before we take our slide-in out again.
Steve,
Just curious, who else would you use if you did not use Happijac? Personally, I would probably just send the jack to them, the rebuild most likely is warrantied and will be done right.

I just heard back from them. The only jack they will service at their service centers is the new 4800 series. So you can get newest model serviced, but not any of the old ones.
Trying to figure out how to deal with a jack that I think is going to fail at some point. I tried lubing it per Happijac instructions, but it didn't help.

The 4800 series is what I have on my Northern Lite. If they don't service the older models maybe they can at least send you a maintenance guide or something so you can do it yourself. I have never opened one up so I don't know what kind of job it is.
I found the manuals on line because (I think) until Lippert bought them out, they were much more helpful in terms of both information and parts.
There really is not much to the jacks and they are not a great deal different than landing gear jacks on fifth wheels. But - I simply pulled the motors and packed the bevel gears with lithium grease and the noise is gone so that was simple enough and cost me nothing.

Steve,
Glad the fix was a simple one for you!
