I finally got around to change mine out, unreal as to how much crud was trapped in it. Took delivery of the truck last January and have 10k on it, it could have gone longer but I was bored.
I opened the glove box door all the way but left it attached, next removed the rubber strip that separates the lower storage from the upper (where the owners manual sits) and behind this rubber strip are two screws, remove them and pullout lower glove box, be careful of the wires the are attached on the left side, once out, open filter door and replace. This entire job does not require messing with the upper glove box. It took me longer to figure out the procedure than to actually swap the filter, next time will take ten minutes.
Any idea where the intake for the cabin air is located? I had a mouse infiltrate my cabin filter and I'd like to see exactly where it gained access. Thx

Damn, that sucks! I'd like to know where it pulls its air from as well.

I'm going to assume its under the wiper cowl at the base of the windshield (fresh air) and some type of flapper door under the dash for recirculated air.
On my cars when I swapped out the cabin filter, I got a charcoal replacement unit which seemed to help with outside odors. Has anyone does this and how effective was it?
