Trans and coolant temps

So I added temps above the gauges through forescan.
Coolant varies 190*-205*
Trans is very close to the same.
All this is freeway mileage at 75-80 mph no trailer, no load.

What would redlines be for both?
Thanks!

OM indicates the normal operating temp range for the six-speed ATF is 196 - 215F.

Don't know about "red lines".

It'll get a lot higher than than when pulling hills towing heavy. 230+ is common.

Got it.
There were definite do not cross red lines that were pretty well accepted (On Dieselstop.com) for Trans and EGT for the 6.0 trucks.
Wondering what norms are for 17s while towing.

Coolant redline is likely greater than 225 f. Anything over 218 and you should hear lots of fan noise and it working to come down. If its not, i will likely start de rating power.

Trans would be > 235 maybe a bit higher, but again, anything above 215 and you should be hearing some serious fan noise trying to cool it down. again, if not, your going to start getting messages and possible de rate.

My gauge temps digital automatically come on above 212 f on trans and coolant. They change colors getting into these high ranges, I am told, but have not seen the colors or warnings. Highest coolant I have seen is 218 f, highest trans is 209. Towing, loaded down and 110 f sunny summer day. We have real hills here and some are as steep as 7%, thats the only time I have seen these max temps.

My trans hit 238 going up Vail pass only towing my jeep so maybe 10K. It was about 80 outside. And that was babying it. No color change in the gauge and no power changes. Dealer said don't worry about it these run much hotter than the old ones. Couldn't give me a max temp though

My engine oil on the engine status screen hit 243 going up Berthoud Pass towing my toy hauler (11k GVWR, but not that heavy that day). I didn't see any warning.
