37"s pulling 5th wheel

Is anyone out there pulling a 5th wheel running 37"s? I want to lift my truck but don't want to lift the 41' trailer. If you are what lift are you running.

If if you going to replay with it's unsafe to pull a 5th wheel with a lift kit please don't respond

TIA

I did with my 2012, 5 1/2" Icon and 37's, and with my 2017 in the shop now, will with it as well! I went with the 4 1/2 Icon and 37's on the new one. Trailer is stock. No issues at all.

On my 2012 setup, 7 1/2". Hopefully, this next week I can hook up my 2017 with new lift and it will be close to the same and the trailer even more level. ( If all my calculations come out right!)

looking forward to seeing pics. My trailer is an attitude and I think they sit pretty close to what the Genesis do.

This is my 2.5 inch leveled truck on 37's. You'll see it sit's nice and level but I have airbags to lift the rear when the trailer is attached. My fifth wheel leaf springs are sitting on top of the axles so the trailer is pretty high off the ground. Three steps out of the trailer still leaves a full step to the ground. I try not to double post but I'm linking a video I posted earlier of my air spring install so you can see the difference in the rear end with the airbags deflated and inflated. That comparison is at the end of the video.

The ReadyLift Stage 2 2.5 kit came from Rocky Mountain Suspensions (rockymountainsusp dot com). It was a little over $400 if I remember correctly.

Sorry about that. I meant the airbags.

I got them directly from Air Lift but they have good pricing all over the internet. I usually start with Amazon and then just google search to see what the competitors are offering. If Amazon is close I usually buy from them because of Prime and return policies and all that.

I'm running 2" level and 35's (295's) - the load rating is very high on the nitto RG - so no issues there. Also running air bags as well. I have about 5 - 6" from rails to 5th wheel TH. Its really gonna depend on your 5th wheel though

I will say that my truck pulled much more comfortably at the stock height and stock Michelin 20" tires. Its a trade off for sure, but we don't travel too far with the TH.

I just recently bought an andersen ultimate hitch, so hoping to try it out in the next few days. I've heard really good stuff about it and the height is easy to adjust too.

Finally, all hooked up and everything was perfect. 30 psi in new long travel air bags from onboard air. Thought truck and trailer sat just about perfect. That trailer has 160 gallons loaded up along with everything else. Pulled great. Only thing really different from all my previous Super Duty lifts. The steering seems really light. I'm wondering if it's the adaptive steering???

Is your truck leveled? If so, the caster angle needs to be restored. The steering will feel light and floaty if there's not enough caster on the steering knuckles.
