My suggestion would be to contact your states agency that handles vehicle registration, different states have different procedures and some states are harder to get lost titles out of than others
If I remember correctly Wisconsin needs a few forms filled out and then you need a police officer to verify the vin # on the forms matches the ones on your truck, I think Illinois (where I'm from) is similar
not sure about any others though, I hope that helps at least a little

hey,
go to www.broadwaytitle.com they will issue you a bill of sale to get a new title for you vehicle...had to do that when i had the first f100...
