You'd need to define what you believe a reasonable price is. If your looking for a used engine, then your budget is really going to dictate what kind of an engine your going to able to get.

What is wrong with your current 6.0 engine? Is it rebuildable? If the block is toast and other internal parts then your going to have to figure out what your budget is to acquire a rebuilt engine. There are lots of shops/people offering a rebuilt engines at a cheap price, but your dont know what kind of parts they have put in to make the engine cheap, there are engines out there that are 10k and up that have cheap parts in them, then there are engines that have the correct Ford/Navistar parts in them that are out there that may cost you 10k.

Your going to need to have a budget of what you want to spend, and then a fudge budget in case anything pops up. There are lots of places like Jasper engines etc out there that sell rebuilt, I have no idea what their rebuilds are like, but like anything you need to do your homework on who your buying the engine from, how and what type of parts they rebuilt the engine with and what the cost will be and what type of warranty will they back it with not to mention cost of putting it in unless you plan to do that yourself.

You could look for a wrecked truck that was in a collision and still has the running an intact engine in it, and then take it have it looked at and if all is well put it in. It's never cheap to replace a diesel engine and the parts from Ford Navistar arent cheap but you dont want to buy one with some crap china parts that are going to blow up two weeks, two months or two years down the road

The more information you can share the better responses you will get, if your engine is totally toast, your going to get hit with a core charge if it really bad, if it isnt you can use yours to get the core charge back. Have you looked into doing a rebuild? Rebuilds arent cheap but it would give you the opition to do some bulletproofing to make it last longer

Here's your last thread:

This for used engines:

There's a place about 10 miles up the road from me with a dozen+ in stock, ranging from sub-100k Grade A to 200k+ wrecks to try to use as a core. There are a TON of 6.0s across the country listed.

If you want to not gamble on a straight used, Ashville is well known around here for remans:
